Hello! My name is Brianna Hooper and I am the founder and owner of Melody Castle.

I am originally from Southern California, but my husband and I have lived in New Mexico, Colorado, and for the last 5 years, the great state of Texas! We moved to McKinney one year ago with our 3 young sons, 2 cats, and 1 dog. McKinney is home. 

I have been a music teacher and worked with children since I was old enough to babysit. Even as a teen, you could find me teaching voice lessons during the school year and counseling summer camps every opportunity I got.

I got my Bachelor’s in Music Education at the Biola Conservatory of Music where I also sang in the chamber choir and the opera program. I had opportunities to sing all over the world and perform in three operas. Choir holds a special place in my heart, as it was the cornerstone of my own education and career in public education. Choir kid for life!

I hold a Texas teaching license and have taught in the public schools in each state I have lived. Most of my teaching career was in middle school, though I have taught all grade levels. I had the privilege of working with grades 6-8 and even traveled to a Disneyland choir competition with one of my groups in New Mexico! I also was a high school musical theater Music Director for Hairspray and Mary Poppins.

When I had my boys, I shifted to more elementary level music and found I had a huge passion for early childhood music education. The benefits of music exposure at a young age blew me away and I had to be as involved as I could! When the opportunity arose for me to go back to the classroom, or start my own school, the answer was clear. 

Melody Castle isn’t a “job”. It’s the beginning of my life’s passion project. This school is a dream that has lived in my heart for many years and I give all the glory to God for placing the steps in front of me and people around me who have helped make this happen.
